Ayodhya Ram Mandir Consecration Expected to Generate ₹1 Lakh Crore of Business: CAIT

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has estimated that the pran pratishtha ceremony at Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, is expected to generate business worth ₹1 lakh crore across the country. The CAIT Secretary General, Praveen Khandelwal, has mentioned that this event will not only promote religious sentiments but also boost economic activities in the country. Reports suggest that feedback has been taken from trade associations of 30 different cities across states to arrive at the expected revenue figure.

Businesses based on the country’s traditional economic system are expected to surge due to the trust and faith of the people. Traders have made extensive preparations to meet the additional demand, informed Khandelwal. There are approximately 30,000 different trade association programs being organized across the country in view of the Ram temple consecration, including market processions, Shri Ram rallies, and scooter and car rallies.

The demand for Shri Ram flags, banners, caps, t-shirts, printed ‘kurtas’ featuring the image of the Ram temple, and models of Ram Mandir has surged significantly. Over 5 crore models are expected to be sold across the country, and small manufacturing units are working day and night to meet the demand.

Not just that, more than 200 major markets and a large number of smaller markets in the national capital are expected to witness Shri Ram flags and decorations from next week. Several markets in the national capital will also witness cultural programs by folk dancers and singers from Vrindavan and Jaipur.
