Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Welcomes Congress’s Decision to Stay Away From Ram Mandir Event, BJP Leader Yediyurappa Condemns
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah welcomed the decision of the Congress to stay away from the Ram Mandir consecration event in Ayodhya on January 22. He affirmed that the party’s decision is his decision and that they are not opposing Sri Ramachandra but are against the politicizing of the Rama Mandir. Siddaramaiah also questioned the need for Congress leaders to go to Ayodhya and stated that PM Narendra Modi and the leaders of the Sangh Parivar are being disrespectful to Sri Rama and 140 crore people of India by converting a religious program into a political one.
On the other hand, senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa condemned the Congress’s decision and called it an unforgivable offense. He alleged that the decision was forced by Congress leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Siddaramaiah, and it hurts the sentiments of crores of Hindus. He further stated that everyone hopes for the creation of a Rama Rajya and that the dreams of Rama should be realized.
